Trading involves substantial risk and may not be suitable for everyone.

What "best" actually means here

A beginner-friendly broker is not the one with the flashiest app — it's the one that makes your first expensive mistake less likely. That means a genuine unlimited demo, micro lots so you can size a position properly on a small balance, a deposit minimum low enough that you're not forced to over-fund, and education that explains risk instead of selling signals.

The ranking above weights those things rather than headline spreads. A beginner trading 0.01 lots a few times a week will lose far more to one oversized position than to a slightly wider spread, so cost is deliberately not the first filter at this stage.

What we weigh

  • An unlimited demo that uses the same platform and pricing as the live account
  • Micro lots (0.01) so a small balance can still be risked properly
  • A low minimum deposit, so you're not pushed into funding more than you want to lose
  • Education that covers position sizing and stop-losses rather than trade calls

Check these yourself before depositing

  • Open the demo before funding anything and place a correctly-sized trade with a stop.
  • Confirm the broker's entity that will actually hold your account is licensed for your country.
  • Run a small deposit-and-withdrawal cycle before committing money you'd mind losing.

The trade-off nobody advertises

Beginner-friendly brokers often charge slightly more per trade than raw-spread accounts aimed at professionals. At beginner volumes that difference is trivial — and the simpler platform is worth more than the saving. Revisit costs once you're trading regularly.
